A high-quality display is at the heart of every great smartphone experience. That’s why we only use OLED panels for our Verified and Premium Displays. This ensures that the touch response, colour accuracy, and viewing comfort are as close as possible to the genuine Apple standard.
Since the iPhone 12, Apple has equipped all iPhones with OLED technology. In the second-hand market, however, many refurbished devices are fitted with LCD panels to reduce costs—cutting the price by $80 to $300. While this may look like a saving upfront, it often results in a noticeably poorer experience: thicker screens, weaker colour reproduction, reduced brightness, and significantly higher power consumption. Simply put, LCD cannot deliver the same quality as OLED.
Here’s how our OLED displays compare with LCD panels; we specify the screen type, while other sellers don’t - so we mark Unspecified in the table.
